The
City of Winnipeg was at the beginning of 20 Century a magnet
for immigrants from all over the World. Today Winnipeg is a large
and multicultural and multi ethnic City. A short distance north
of Winnipeg is the great Winnipeg Lake, the natural magnet for
the residents of Winnipeg. Around the lake you'll find a great
beach, resorts, swimming and boating areas and lots of cottages.
In the middle of that is the City of Selkirk and the Historical
Site of Fort Gary. South of Winnipeg is an agriculture area with
towns like Steinbach, Morden and Winkler. East of Winnipeg to
Ontario border you'll find the famous and large Whiteshell Provincial
Park and a few water powered electricity production facilities.
